Letter I Week

Letter I Week
Our themes for letter I week
were Insects, Iguanas, Inchworms and Ice Cream.
Our literacy center featured the book, Inch by Inch.

We measured with "inchworms".

We created inchworms.

We wrote non fiction facts about iguanas.

We made these awesome Iguanas in the art center.

This is our class graph.
The children liked iguanas more than inchworms.

The ice cream activities were really fun.

We ate ice cream at 10:00 in the morning!
Did I mention our ice cream had sprinkles?

We described ice cream at the language center.

We had lots of discussions about insects.
Our centers featured several activities about different insects.

We invented our own insects!

Look at this fun snack.
We have the best parents!

Friday was our bug hunt.
We rode our bikes over to Teacher Karen's house.
We found grasshoppers, ants, beetles, pill bugs,
several arachnids and a gecko!

Our parents provided this wonderful snack.

And then....
this happened.

We had an incredible week.

County Fair

The County Fair
We had a very busy week but managed to find time
to visit the County Fair!

This is what we saw!

Oink!
(Cutest face in the whole building!)

Gobble, gobble!

Cheep, cheep.

Moo!

Oink, oink, oink.

Bah! (Yes, they bah, just like sheep.)

Quack, quack.

Neigh!

Cluck, cluck.

Moo.

"Get me out of here!"

(I think this guy wanted to go back to school with us!)

It was great!
We saw lots of animals!
We were able to hold some of the babies.

Everyone had a great time.
I made a class book about our trip!
Stop by and take a peek at it!
