The Polar Express

The Polar Express

Our morning began with everyone dressed in their pajamas
ready to board the train.

Tickets were punched by our conductor.
Then we were off.

We listened to The Polar Express narrated by Liam Neeson.
(I found this narrated version on YouTube.)
It was awesome!

Each child in the class was given a bell.

The children were excited to see what the rest of the morning would bring!

We set up a hot chocolate bar.

 The children loved adding marshmallows,
whipped cream and chocolate sprinkles.
They used candy canes to stir their hot chocolate.

The children were invited to decorate a sugar cookie.
This was a huge hit!

You can NEVER have too many sprinkles on your cookie!

We also set up the art area as a train station.
The children loved making their own Polar Express trains.

It was a perfect day!
