Letter F Week

Letter  F Week was fabulous fun!
The primary theme this week was fish but we managed
to squeeze in lots of other interesting topics.

Our literacy center featured frogs, fish and friends.

In our math center:

We used Fruit Loops and fish for patterning and graphing.

Look at our Pattern Block fish (geometry!)

We made predictions, estimated, gathered data and discussed our data.

We ate our Fruit Loops
after we graphed them.

by the way....
(We graph EVERYTHING!)

We worked on class graphs and individual graphs.  We gave our opinions.

We read and discussed several books this week.
One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish
Jump, Frop, Jump
My Friends
In our language center we have been working on characters, setting,
beginning, middle and ending of stories.  We are also encouraging the children
to work on writing their own words.  They are also writing in their journals.

One of our favorite activities is our "scavenger hunt".
(The children search the room for our weekly words and write what they see.)

Look what we created in our Art Center this week.
Isn't it FANTASTIC?

Frogs!
Feather Painting!

Collage fish with Eric Carle tissue paper.
   One fish, Two Fish,

Red Fish, Blue Fish!

We even ate FISH for snack!

What a week!  I can't wait for next week!
