Chicka Chicka Boom Boom

Our theme for the first week of school was 

Chicka Chicka Boom Boom.

This week was filled with getting acquainted, 

learning the Kindergarten routine,

adjusting to a new environment and making new friends.

We read the book Chicka Chicka Boom Boom.

We explored and described coconuts.

We tasted coconut!

We counted, cut, glued and painted coconut trees.

We assembled and ate coconut trees.

We played!  

It was a perfect first week.

Ben is the Best!

Meet Ben!

He is our class guinea pig.

We feed him, squeeze him, pet him, 

drop him, (oops),

make block forts for him 

and sometimes we fight over him.

But mostly we LOVE him.

Sometimes we FORCE FEED HIM.

(He loves bananas, carrots, lettuce and apples.)

This is his house!  It is very cozy.

He doesn't bite.

Sometimes he poops...on people and we scream.

But, mostly he loves us too.

Hooray for the first day!

We welcomed 25 children on August 24, 2015.

There are 15 girls and 10 boys in our class this year!
