Hooray for the first day!

We welcomed 25 children on August 24, 2015.

There are 15 girls and 10 boys in our class this year!

I am Teacher Nancy.

We had a fabulous first day and are looking

 forward to a wonderful year!

The new school year has begun.

On August 26th, 2013

we welcomed a brand new Kindie Class.

It is going to be a wonderful year.

The week was filled with getting acquainted, 

learning the Kindergarten routine, adjusting

to a new environment and making new friends.

We read the book, Chicka Chicka Boom Boom

and explored coconuts.

We used our five senses to describe coconuts.

We played in the sensory table and used tongs to hunt

for letters and coconuts.

We created coconut trees using various art forms.

On Friday we used edible materials and made a delicious snack.

It was a perfect first week!

We love Kindergarten!

Back To School!

It's time!  I am very excited!  Everything is ready to go!  Now I all need is a class full of Kindies!

On Monday,  23 children will walk through this door and begin their journey into Kindergarten.  I hope it is magical!  I hope they love their first day of school!  I hope no one cries! (including moms)  I hope they like what we are having for snack!  I hope they make a new friend!  I hope the guinea pig doesn't bite anyone!  I hope they can wait until 9:30 before they start asking me "when can we go outside?"  I hope they paint and sing and play legos and write their name and share and get to do that "thing" that makes them feel like a big kid!  I hope their first day of Kindergarten is everything they hope it will be!
